How we manufacture

From First Brief to Finished Uniform

One approved specification.

Every uniform programme moves through a defined manufacturing process — from understanding your requirements and selecting the right fabric to sampling, production, quality inspection and dispatch.

Each stage builds on the specifications approved before it — so bulk production stays true to the brief you signed off.

Built for Organizations

Uniform Manufacturing That Starts With Your Requirements.

A uniform is more than a garment. It represents your organization, needs to perform in its working environment and often has to be produced consistently across teams, departments and locations.

At Raj International, our custom uniform manufacturing process begins with understanding your requirements — from garment design and fabric selection to sizing, branding, functionality, quantities and delivery expectations.

We then take those specifications through a structured production journey, helping turn an approved concept into a consistent, production-ready uniform programme.

Inside Our Uniform Manufacturing Process

Discover how Raj International takes custom uniform requirements from design and fabric selection to sampling, bulk garment production, branding, quality inspection, finishing and dispatch.

01 — Design & Development

Uniforms Designed Around Your Requirements.

Every successful uniform programme begins with a clear understanding of what the garment needs to achieve. At Raj International, we develop uniform requirements around the organization, the wearer and the working environment.

Our custom uniform design and development process brings together garment styling, fit, fabric requirements, colours, branding and functional details before the product moves into sampling and production.

Whether you are developing a new corporate uniform, redesigning an existing school uniform or creating workwear for an industrial team, the objective is to establish a clear garment specification that can be taken forward into manufacturing.

What we define

  • Garment Style

Shirts, trousers, polos, jackets, tunics and other uniform garments based on your programme requirements.

  • Fit & Sizing

Develop sizing and fit requirements appropriate to the intended workforce or user group.

  • Fabric Requirements

Identify the desired fabric characteristics based on comfort, appearance, durability and application.

  • Colour

Develop garment colours around your organizational identity, uniform standards or approved colour references.

  • Branding

Define logo placement, embroidery, printing, name identification and other branding requirements.

  • Functional Details

Pockets, collars, cuffs, closures, trims and other garment details can be incorporated into the specification.

02 — Fabric Selection

The Right Fabric for the Right Uniform.

Fabric is one of the most important decisions in uniform manufacturing. The right material needs to balance comfort, durability, appearance, performance and cost while remaining suitable for the environment in which the uniform will be worn.

At Raj International, fabric selection is considered as part of the overall custom uniform manufacturing process. We evaluate the intended application, working conditions, garment design and uniform requirements to identify fabric options that are appropriate for the programme.

From corporate uniforms and school uniforms to healthcare apparel, hospitality uniforms, industrial workwear and security uniforms, different applications demand different fabric characteristics. Our approach is to match the material to the purpose of the garment rather than treating fabric as a one-size-fits-all choice.

What we consider

  • Comfort

Fabrics selected for uniforms worn throughout long working hours should provide a comfortable feel and allow appropriate ease of movement.

  • Durability

For uniforms used every day, fabric performance and resistance to regular washing and wear are important considerations.

  • Appearance

Colour, texture, structure and drape all contribute to how a professional uniform looks and presents your organization's identity.

  • Application

Office, healthcare, hospitality, education and industrial environments can have very different fabric requirements.

  • Colour & Branding

Fabric colour is considered alongside your organization's brand identity and the final embroidery, printing or other branding requirements.

  • Maintenance

For organizational uniform programmes, practical care and repeated use are important factors when evaluating fabric options.

Fabric selection for different uniform requirements

  • Corporate

Professional appearance, comfort and easy day-to-day wear.

  • Healthcare

Comfort, movement and practical everyday use.

  • Hospitality

Professional presentation combined with durability for active environments.

  • School

Comfort, durability and suitability for regular washing and daily wear.

  • Industrial

Performance-oriented fabrics selected around the working environment and garment application.

  • Security

Practical uniform fabrics designed around professional appearance and regular operational use.

As a uniform manufacturer in India, Raj International works with fabric requirements across a wide range of customized uniform programmes. We can develop fabric specifications for corporate uniforms, school uniforms, hospital uniforms, hotel uniforms, security uniforms, industrial uniforms and workwear, helping organizations identify suitable materials before sampling and bulk garment production.

03 — Sampling & Prototyping

Approve the Uniform Before Bulk Production.

A production sample is where a uniform concept becomes a physical garment. Before moving into bulk uniform manufacturing, sampling allows the design, fabric, fit and construction to be evaluated against the requirements established during development.

At Raj International, the uniform sampling and prototyping stage helps transform approved specifications into a tangible garment for review. The sample can be assessed for fabric, colour, fit, measurements, construction, functionality and branding before the programme moves into bulk production.

This process is particularly valuable for organizations ordering uniforms at scale, where identifying changes before production can help create a clearer and more consistent manufacturing specification.

What we validate

  • Fit & Sizing

Review the garment's proportions, measurements and overall fit against the intended size requirements.

  • Fabric & Colour

Evaluate the selected fabric, weight, texture, colour and overall appearance in the finished garment.

  • Construction

Check collars, cuffs, seams, pockets, closures and other garment details against the approved design.

  • Functionality

Assess whether the garment works appropriately for its intended workplace, user group and application.

  • Branding

Review logo placement, embroidery, printing, name identification and other branding details.

  • Finish & Appearance

Examine the overall garment presentation and identify adjustments before bulk manufacturing.

From concept to approved sample

DesignFabricPrototypeReviewReviseApproveBulk Production

The approved sample becomes an important reference for subsequent bulk garment production, helping align manufacturing with the agreed design and specifications.

Built for bulk uniform programmes

Test the Garment Before You Scale the Order.

For corporate, education, healthcare, hospitality, security and industrial uniform programmes, a sample provides an opportunity to review the garment before committing to larger production quantities. This is especially useful when uniforms need to be produced consistently across multiple sizes, departments, teams or locations.

Why sampling matters

  • Reduce Uncertainty

Review the physical garment before bulk production.

  • Refine the Design

Identify adjustments to fit, fabric, construction or appearance.

  • Confirm Branding

Verify logo placement, embroidery and printing requirements.

  • Create a Reference

Establish an approved sample for the manufacturing process.

As a custom uniform manufacturer in India, Raj International provides a structured approach to uniform sampling and prototyping before bulk garment production. From corporate uniforms and school uniforms to hospital uniforms, hospitality uniforms, security uniforms and industrial workwear, sampling helps organizations evaluate their customized uniform requirements and establish an approved garment specification for production.

04 — Cutting

True to the Sample. Precise to the Specification.

Once the design, fabric and production sample are approved, the process moves into precision fabric cutting. This is where the approved garment specification is translated into accurately cut components ready for stitching and assembly.

At Raj International, cutting is carried out according to the approved patterns, measurements, size specifications and garment construction requirements. Accurate cutting helps ensure that individual garment components maintain the intended proportions and fit throughout bulk production.

For custom uniform manufacturing and bulk garment production, consistency at the cutting stage is essential. Each component needs to align with the approved sample so that shirts, trousers, jackets, uniforms and workwear can be assembled to the required specifications.

What we control

  • Pattern Accuracy

Garment patterns follow the approved design and construction specifications.

  • Size Consistency

Components are prepared according to the required size range and measurement specifications.

  • Fabric Alignment

Fabric is positioned and handled carefully to support consistent cutting across production quantities.

  • Component Accuracy

Panels, sleeves, collars, cuffs, pockets and other garment components are cut to their required dimensions.

  • Material Efficiency

Planned cutting and marker placement help make effective use of fabric while preparing production components.

  • Production Readiness

Cut components are organized by size and garment requirements before moving into stitching and assembly.

From approved sample to cut components

Approved SamplePatternFabric LayingCuttingSortingStitching

The approved sample establishes the reference. Cutting translates that reference into the individual components required to construct every garment in the production order.

Built for consistency

Every Component Has a Part to Play.

A uniform is made from many individual components — and accuracy across those components affects the final garment. From the body panels and sleeves to collars, cuffs and pockets, the cutting stage establishes the foundation for consistent garment construction.

As a uniform manufacturer in India, Raj International follows a structured cutting process for custom uniforms, corporate uniforms, school uniforms, healthcare uniforms, hospitality uniforms, security uniforms and industrial workwear. Precision cutting supports consistent sizing, garment construction and production quality across bulk uniform orders.

05 — Stitching & Assembly

Built to Hold Its Shape. Made to Repeat.

Once the fabric has been precisely cut, individual garment components move into stitching and assembly. This is where panels, sleeves, collars, cuffs, pockets and other components are brought together to create the finished uniform.

At Raj International, stitching follows the approved sample, garment specifications and construction requirements established during the earlier stages. Attention to seams, alignment, measurements and finishing details helps maintain consistency across bulk production.

For organizations ordering custom uniforms at scale, reliable stitching and assembly are essential to producing garments that look consistent across employees, departments and locations.

What we focus on

  • Construction

Garment components are assembled according to the approved design and construction specifications.

  • Stitching Quality

Seams and stitch lines are checked for consistency, alignment and overall workmanship.

  • Fit & Proportion

Assembly follows the approved measurements and patterns to maintain the intended garment shape.

  • Functional Details

Pockets, collars, cuffs, plackets, closures and other garment elements are incorporated according to the specification.

  • Repeatability

The approved sample provides a reference for maintaining consistency throughout bulk uniform production.

  • Garment Integrity

Attention to construction helps create uniforms suited to regular use in their intended working environment.

From cut components to finished garment

06 — Printing & Embroidery

Marked to Last.

Branding is sampled on the actual garment, engineered for the fabric and considered for the wash.

Branding is an integral part of a uniform — not an element added at the very end. At Raj International, logo embroidery and garment printing are developed with the actual fabric and intended use of the uniform in mind.

Logos and identifiers are sampled on the actual garment fabric to evaluate placement, scale, density, colour and overall appearance before bulk production. This helps ensure that the final branding works with the garment rather than simply looking correct on a digital or paper proof.

Different fabrics and garments require different branding approaches. Lightweight shirting, chef coats, polos, sportswear and industrial workwear can respond differently to embroidery and printing. We consider the fabric, garment construction and expected washing and usage conditions when determining the appropriate branding method.

What we check

  • Placement

Logo position and proportions are reviewed directly on the garment to achieve consistent branding across the production order.

  • Embroidery Density

Stitch density is considered against the fabric to achieve a clean mark without unnecessarily affecting the garment's handle or appearance.

  • Print Method

Printing methods are selected according to the garment, fabric characteristics, design and intended application.

  • Colour

Brand colours are reviewed on the actual garment to ensure the finished mark works with the selected fabric and garment colour.

  • Wash & Wear

Branding is evaluated with the garment's expected use and laundering requirements in mind.

  • Consistency

Approved branding specifications provide a reference for maintaining logo placement and appearance throughout bulk production.

The marking process

Logo ArtworkMethodActual Fabric SampleReviewApprovalBulk Branding

No logo is approved in isolation. The branding is reviewed on the actual fabric and garment before it becomes part of the production run.

Embroidery or printing?

  • Embroidery

Ideal when you need a dimensional, durable branded finish for suitable garments and fabrics.

    Common applications

Corporate polos · Jackets · Workwear · Hospitality uniforms · Caps

  • Printing

Useful for designs, identifiers and branding where a printed finish is more appropriate for the garment and application.

    Common applications

    Sportswear · T-shirts · Event uniforms · Lightweight garments · Promotional apparel

The fabric and application determine the appropriate method — neither is universally better for every programme.

Branding across your uniform programme

Consistent Branding, From the First Garment to the Last.

For organizations ordering uniforms in bulk, branding consistency matters just as much as garment construction. Approved artwork, placement, sizing and production specifications help create a consistent visual identity across employees, teams, departments and locations.

Raj International provides custom uniform embroidery and garment printing as part of its end-to-end uniform manufacturing process in India. Branding can be incorporated into corporate uniforms, school uniforms, healthcare uniforms, hospitality uniforms, security uniforms, sportswear and industrial workwear, with printing and embroidery requirements developed around the fabric, garment construction and intended use.

Send us your logo, existing uniform or design requirements and discuss the right embroidery or printing approach for your garment.

07 — Quality Control

Checked Against the Sample.

Quality control is built into the manufacturing process, not left until the final garment is packed. At Raj International, finished garments are evaluated against the approved sample and production specifications to help maintain consistency across the order.

Our quality checks can cover key aspects of the garment including fabric, measurements, stitching, construction, colour, branding, finishing and overall appearance. This allows potential deviations to be identified and addressed before garments move to the next stage.

For organizations sourcing custom uniforms and bulk workwear, consistent quality matters across every size, department and location. The approved sample provides a clear reference for the finished garment and helps keep production aligned with the agreed requirements.

What we check

  • Fabric

Material, colour and overall fabric characteristics are reviewed against the approved requirements.

  • Measurements

Key garment measurements and sizing are checked against the approved specifications.

  • Stitching & Construction

Seams, stitch quality, alignment and garment construction are reviewed for consistency.

  • Branding

Logo placement, embroidery, printing, sizing and appearance are checked against the approved branding specification.

  • Finishing

Garments are examined for loose threads, construction details, presentation and overall finish.

Quality across bulk production

Consistency Matters at Scale.

Producing one good uniform is different from producing a consistent uniform programme. When an organization requires hundreds or thousands of garments, the same design, measurements, construction and branding need to be carried through the production order.

Our quality control process is designed to help maintain that consistency throughout bulk uniform manufacturing.

Quality control checklist

  1. 01 — Sample Match

Does the garment match the approved sample?

  2. 02 — Measurements

Are key dimensions within the required specification?

  3. 03 — Construction

Are seams, panels and garment components correctly assembled?

  4. 04 — Branding

Is the logo correctly positioned and finished?

  5. 05 — Finishing

Is the garment clean, properly finished and presentation-ready?

  6. 06 — Packing

Is the completed order ready for organized dispatch?

Raj International is a custom uniform manufacturer in India providing quality-focused manufacturing for corporate uniforms, school uniforms, hospital uniforms, healthcare apparel, hospitality uniforms, security uniforms and industrial workwear. Our quality control process forms part of the wider uniform manufacturing process, helping ensure garments are produced according to approved samples and specifications before final dispatch.

Need Consistent Quality Across Your Uniform Order?

Share your approved sample and production requirements with our team to discuss your uniform manufacturing programme.

08 — Finishing

Presented with Care.

Manufacturing does not end when the garment is stitched. The finishing stage prepares each uniform for inspection, packing and delivery, with attention to the details that shape its final appearance.

At Raj International, finished garments go through final pressing, trimming and presentation checks to ensure they are clean, neat and aligned with the approved sample and production specifications.

From corporate uniforms and school uniforms to healthcare apparel, hospitality uniforms and industrial workwear, professional finishing helps ensure that every garment reaches the customer in a presentation-ready condition.

What we focus on

  • Pressing

Garments are pressed and prepared to achieve a clean, neat appearance before packing.

  • Thread Trimming

Loose threads and excess thread ends are removed as part of the final garment preparation.

  • Garment Appearance

Finished uniforms are reviewed for overall presentation, shape and visual consistency.

  • Detail Check

Collars, cuffs, pockets, closures, branding and other visible details are checked as part of final preparation.

  • Sample Consistency

The finished garment remains aligned with the approved sample and agreed specifications.

09 — Packaging & Dispatch

Packed to Issue.

The final stage of uniform manufacturing is preparing the finished garments for delivery and distribution. For bulk uniform programmes, packaging is not simply about putting garments into cartons — it is about keeping the order organized and ready for issue.

At Raj International, finished uniforms are prepared for packing, sorting and dispatch according to the agreed order requirements. Garments can be organized around relevant size, style, quantity or distribution requirements to support a smoother handover from manufacturing to your organization.

Whether uniforms are being supplied for a corporate team, school, hospital, hotel, security workforce or industrial operation, the objective is to ensure the finished order leaves production organized, protected and ready for use.

Got questions?
We've got answers

  • Every uniform follows a controlled path: design and development, fabric selection, sampling and prototyping, cutting, stitching and assembly, printing and embroidery, quality control, finishing, and packaging and dispatch. Each stage is a distinct step, not a shortcut.

  • Design and development is where the brief becomes a technical specification — covering garment construction, measurements, fabric requirements, and branding placement — before any fabric is sourced or cut.

  • Fabric selection is matched to the uniform's use case — durability and safety for industrial wear, formal finish for corporate uniforms, comfort and hygiene for healthcare, and wash-resilience for hospitality and education. Fabric is chosen before sampling begins.

  • Sampling is where the uniform programme becomes real. A prototype garment is produced against the agreed specification for fit testing and approval before bulk cutting and stitching start.

  • Cutting is done to the approved sample's pattern and measurements, ensuring consistency across the full production run rather than garment-by-garment variation.

  • Stitching and assembly is where cut fabric panels are joined into the finished garment structure, following the construction method validated during sampling.

  • Yes. Printing and embroidery are applied as a dedicated stage in the manufacturing process, used for logos, name tags, and institutional branding on uniforms.

  • Quality control is where the uniform programme stays consistent — garments are checked against the approved sample for stitching, fabric, fit, and branding accuracy before moving to finishing.

  • Finishing covers pressing, thread trimming, tag and label attachment, and final inspection so garments are dispatch-ready and consistent across the full order.

  • Packaging and dispatch is the final stage, where finished uniforms are sorted, packed, and shipped according to the order's size breakdown and delivery schedule.

  • No. We don't publish unverified factory size, headcount, or machine lists. Capacity and production details are shared directly with clients once verified for a specific uniform programme.

  • Timelines depend on fabric availability, order quantity, and customisation, and are confirmed after sampling. Share your requirements through a quote request and our team will respond with a manufacturing timeline specific to your order.

  • Yes. Sampling and prototyping is a standard stage in our process — a sample is produced and approved before bulk production begins on any uniform order.
